A lot of the pest control products that are that are available today are chemical toxins, poisons or carcinogens that make use of the nerve gas technology that was left over from World War II. These products can affect insects' nervous systems. They're made up of substances that may also harm animals, humans and the natural environment. It is therefore logical that these chemicals would require strict regulation by the government in order to safeguard the people. That's the role that is the responsibility of Environmental Protection Agency or EPA.
But it is true that not all Pest control services in Dubai products are made equal. There's a different type of pest control product that are EPA exempt, and are not required to be registered because they are deemed to be secure and therefore require no registration. Who decides what is safe?
The Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) was created to provide guidelines and safety measures for the products that are available to the public for use. In 1996 the EPA published what's known as List 25(b) which was a part of FIFRA and contains 30 ingredients, all of which are naturally present substances.
The ingredients are deemed as such by EPA "to be in a form that is not necessary to be regulated under this Act". That is to say, they pose no risk to public safety , and therefore are not subject to the rigorous safety rules that apply to the use of other chemical pesticides that are synthetic. The EPA regulates this list and they've conducted a thorough study to determine what is "safe" enough to be listed.
Therefore, if a pest-control product has active ingredients that is listed in List 25(b) The position of the EPA will be that this product has been proven to be "demonstrably safe for use in the intended manner'. There is no need to conduct further tests There is no reason to protect the public from its dangers there is no need to worry. Pest control products that contain an active ingredient that is exempt has been shown to be secure.
The ingredients listed in the list 25(b) include a collection of natural, organic alternatives to control pests. Things like cedar oil citronella oil, cinnamon oil peppermint oil, geranium and peppermint oil are among the just 30 ingredients, which all are sourced from Nature herself. Not crazy chemicals made by humans with names you don't know.
On one end in the range are chemicals made of synthetic materials which, to be accessible to the public need EPA registration and supervision. On the other side of the spectrum are natural, natural and safe substances which are exempt from the EPA's regulations because they do not pose a risk to human, animal or the health of the environment.
If you're choosing items for your home, there are important differences to take into consideration. The paradox is that a product that has EPA registration is usually viewed by the general public to be secure, whereas a product that does not have registration is viewed as not tested or dangerous. In reality, EPA registration is only for ingredients that could cause harm.
The next time you apply insecticide to your kids take a look at your alternatives. If you're battling mosquitoes, fighting insects in the kitchen or are facing a nightmare similar to bed bugs, what factors will affect your pest control choice?
